We have created a new Cross-training program at Jayco which is an informal learning initiative designed for our full time, permanent employees who want to enhance their skills, knowledge and explore career paths within Jayco.
We’re thrilled to announce our first exciting cross-training opportunity within our Quality Department! We invite dedicated employees to seize this chance to broaden their skills, contribute to the excellence of our Quality Team and see if it’s something they would be keen on taking on in the future.
Position: Quality Inspector
If you’re interested in the Quality role but uncertain if it’s the right fit for you, consider this training opportunity as a special chance to learn. While still performing your usual activities, you will be able to dedicate one day per week to focus on cross-training in a Quality role. You will work side by side with another Inspector to slowly learn different aspects of the job.
Whilst it doesn’t 100% guarantee you a job, it will provide you with a chance to increase your skills and gain hands-on experience. Ultimately this will position you more favourably when applying for similar permanent positions at Jayco in the future.
Duties & Responsibilities for a Quality Inspector role will include the following:
• Conducting quality audits on vans
• Identifying potential problems (both material and or assembly faults)
• Initiating rework processes with production leaders
• Working closely with production lines to identify trends.
