Are you looking to advance you career at Jayco and work in a fantastic team environment? We are currently seeking a Purchasing Officer for the reordering and management of consumables to join our Supply Chain team on a 12-month maternity leave contract.
We are offering this role as a part time position with the hours of work being any 3 days of the week. From 6:30am – 3.30pm. These days/hours can be discussed and negotiated.
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the replenishment and procurement of consumable products essential for our operations.

• A keen eye for detail to ensure efficient and cost-effective purchasing processes.
Responsibilities & Duties:• Monitor inventory levels of consumable products to identify reorder needs.
• Develop and maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
• Generate purchase orders accurately and timely based on demand forecasts and consumption patterns.
• Work with the Inventory and Warehouse team to help processing stock through RF scanning.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of consumable products.
• Negotiate, pricing and MOQ requirements to suit the business’s needs.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Participate in stock counts on a regular basis to ensure stock is accurate in the ERP system.
• Conduct price comparisons and analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Track and report on purchasing trends and expenses related to consumables.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases and follow up on late deliveries.
• Work closely with the receipting team to reconcile invoices and resolve discrepancies.
